We are an Exclusive Men’s Club, founded in 1963, based in Santa Rosa, Ca. and dedicated to the well-being of it’s members, friends, and their families. We are a not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to helping those with special needs. We have provided and run many events helping such organizations as “The Sami Disharoon Pediatric Brain Tumor Research Foundation”. Other benefits have been for friends or relatives in need, providing funding and whatever was needed to better their situations. An annual benefit crab feed, Blues music concerts and other such activities are what we do!!
We had our 50th anniversary June 15th, 2013!!
As years have passed, we came up with some annual activities that keep us on our aging toes. The Club has some interesting and diversified activities catering to every taste.
We have semi-annual golf tournaments, Fall best-ball and the Spring “Kory Klambake” named on behalf of our member Kris and wife Pam’s son Kory who passed on at age 12 with a brain tumor.
Also semi-annual are our Club trap shoots, fittingly called “The Bunny Shoot” (Easter) and the “Mo” Morial Turkey shoot (Thanksgiving), named after the late John “Mo” Meyer ……..Great time, great turnouts, great prizes (no live bunnies or turkeys harmed).
Other “functions” include street rods, motorcycles, poker, et al. We have annual events, ”Flat Tire Burnout”, and our post-Labor day “Bass Derby”, a camping trip on the Russian River with wives, girlfriends, or mistresses(!)… which involves no fishing and no one under 21…our own “Bohemian Grove/Burning Man”, so make your own assumptions. For seven years we sponsored the “Flat Tire Club Street Rod Reunion & Cruise” throughout Sonoma/Napa/Marin counties, a true “rolling” car show.
Our clubhouse, located in Santa Rosa, Ca has some interesting artifacts. We have two vintage race bikes and a custom rigid H-D Shovelhead all hanging from the ceiling, various custom Hot Rods, Harleys, surfboards, antique bar, 50″ flat screen and all the amenities for monthly meetings, BBQ’s, and just hangin’ out. We gotta thank owner Jimmy G. for spoilin’ us!
